2.4 million dollars, the biggest prize for any regular event on the World Poker Tour was won by Allan Goehring at Commerce Casino in L.A.

692 players participated in the World Poker Tour event at the Commerce Casino in L.A. Each participant paid an entry fee of 10,000 dollars and the prize pool was almost 7 Million dollars. Allan Goehring who came first went home with 2.4 dollars, a World Poker Tour record prize. For Allan Goehring it was the second win on the World Poker Tour.

Many famous poker players participated in the poker tournament including Phil Helmuth, Scotty Nguyen, Erick Lindren, Amir Vahedi, Chip Reese, Cindy Violette, Gavin Smith, Barry Greenstein, and Mike, the grinder, Mizrachi, who is ranked as the world best poker player. Other well known faces included Lakers owner Jerry Buss, movie stars Gabe Kaplan and James.
