Roulettes Roots and Rules
Originally roulette comes from France, originating when a French mathematician devised the outcome of the basic odds of the wheel and ball weight, plus combinations of numbers. After designing the board and the use of the wheel, two other men put all the final applications to the field and now we have today after a couple of hundred years the game we all know called roulette.
Roulette is based upon a field of 36 numbers ranging from one to number thirty six. There is also the difference of a French wheel or an American wheel plus field. French fields and wheels contain thirty seven numbers including the zero whereas American roulette contains a zero and a double zero as well as the thirty six general numbers. This included, makes for a lower odds at the American table so if you can find a French roulette game, your odds of winning go up slightly and make a huge difference.
At the beginning of the game the croupier or dealer will allow you to place bets while the ball is started in the groove, when the dealer calls No More Bets all bets stop and the ball is allowed to fall from the groove and land in one of the places marked around the roulette wheel. Now depending on what hit, will determine if the bets you chose were chosen correctly. Since there are many different bets in roulette, it is possible to place several bets and lose on one or two but still win several and stay ahead.
